So frustrated... just replaced the gasket and stuff, using RTV sealant around the rim of the thing and then changed the oil... still leaks oil.
I'm wondering if this is because I just changed the oil. I've heard that the factory recommended 2.5 quarts is kind of a ballpark. If I've overfilled it, will it pump a bit of oil out of the head for a bit? I put exactly 2.5 quarts in the thing (I also replaced the oil filter).
Another thing that I've just discovered is that the Jardine slip-on that I just installed about a week and a half ago has a leak at the junction of the slip-on. I used this gasket compound that the store recommended that should be as good as using that silicone stuff.
What do you think? Am I not supposed to drive the thing around and such after I've put the new seal gasket in? Am I supposed to let the sealant set or something? Or is it just excess oil pumping out?
Regarding the exhaust, I'm gonna go out and tighten the hose clamp after the thing has cooled down a bit and I'll let you guys know if that does the trick.
Thanks alot for your help!
